Diabetes Fair
The Diabetes outreach event is an annual health fair that is planned by the committee co-chairs and student volunteers. The fair has numerous multidisciplinary health professionals donate their time and resources to give back the community at large. During this health fair, the members of the community are invited to take advantage of free clinical services, screenings and recommendations. In 2019, the Diabetes Health Fair brought in over 130 patients and provided services including, but not limited to:
• Diabetes Screening
• Cholesterol Screening
• Eye Exams and Free Prescription Glasses
• Dental Screenings
• Flu Shots
• Comprehensive Medication Reviews
• Smoking Cessation
• Podiatry Services
• Nutrition Advice
• Covered California Insurance Information
